Trnqify 1.5: Custom Slugs, Webhooks & Click Maps

Trnqify 1.5 gives every plan a single view of how all your links perform, and it adds three tools to Pro for teams that build on their links: custom slugs, signed webhooks, and city-level analytics with a click map.
This post covers what’s new in Trnqify 1.5, which plan gets what, and how each feature fits our privacy-first approach to link shortening. If you just want the full list, it is on the features page.
What Shipped in Trnqify 1.5
- Account-wide analytics dashboard — one Analytics page that adds up clicks across every link. Every plan.
- City breakdown and click map — see which cities your clicks come from, per link and account-wide. Pro.
- Custom slugs — choose the back half of your short link instead of a random code. Pro.
- Signed webhooks — send link and domain events to your own systems, with retries and a delivery log. Pro, up to 3 endpoints.
Account-Wide Analytics Dashboard
The new Analytics page sits next to Links in the app. Instead of opening links one at a time, it sums click activity across your whole account: one trend line, your top links, and audience breakdowns.
Free gets a 7-day trend and your top 10 links. Starter stretches that to 30 days and adds country and desktop vs mobile breakdowns. Pro keeps up to a year of history and adds browser and OS, campaign, source, and medium rollups, custom-domain performance, top networks, and a day-of-week by hour heatmap.
We covered the dashboard in detail when it launched. Read the account-wide analytics dashboard announcement for a tour of each tier and tips on using the heatmap.
City Breakdown and Click Map
Country data tells you which markets respond. City data tells you where to focus inside them. On Pro, every link’s analytics now include a city breakdown and a map of click locations, and the account-wide dashboard rolls the same data up across all your links.
Location never gets more precise than the city, and it is always shown as totals. City data is available only for clicks recorded after city-level analytics launched.
Custom Slugs

A short link with a readable back half tells people where it goes before they click. Compare trnq.io/spring-sale with a string of random characters: the first one is easier to say on a podcast, print on a flyer, or recognize in a crowded inbox.
On Pro, you can now choose your own slug when you create a link:
- Plain rules. Lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores, 3 to 30 characters, not starting or ending with a hyphen. Uppercase letters are converted to lowercase.
- Live availability check. The app tells you as you type whether a slug is free to use. A small set of words is reserved for Trnqify’s own pages, and offensive slugs are not allowed.
- Everywhere you create links. Set a slug in the app, through the REST API, or with the MCP create-link tool your AI agents already use. New to MCP? Read how Trnqify connects with AI agents.
- Permanent once created. A slug cannot be changed after the link exists, so links you have shared never break. Choose carefully.
Free and Starter links keep the auto-generated seven-character slug. See how it works on the custom slugs section of the features page.
Signed Webhooks

Webhooks let Trnqify tell your other tools when something happens, so you no longer need to poll the API. On Pro, you can register up to 3 HTTPS endpoints and choose which events each one receives:
- A link is created, updated, or deleted
- A link passes another 100-click milestone
- A custom domain is verified, or its verification fails
Every delivery is signed with HMAC-SHA256 (the keyed-hash method defined in RFC 2104) so your endpoint can confirm the request came from Trnqify. Failed deliveries are retried automatically with backoff, and every attempt appears in a delivery log in the app, including the status code your endpoint returned. The webhook docs cover the payload format and how to verify signatures.

Privacy Notes
New features follow the same rules as the rest of Trnqify:
- Aggregate data only. Analytics show totals and breakdowns, not profiles of individual visitors.
- City level at most. The new city breakdown and map never get more precise than the city.
- Never sold. Click data is not sold or shared for advertising.
- Webhooks describe your links, not your visitors. Payloads carry link and domain details, such as a link’s new click total.
For the reasoning behind these choices, read our guide to cookie-free link tracking or the privacy policy.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is new in Trnqify 1.5?
Trnqify 1.5 adds four things: an account-wide analytics dashboard on every plan, plus a city breakdown with a click map, custom slugs, and signed webhooks on Pro. See the full list on the features page.
Can I choose my own short link in Trnqify?
Yes, on Pro. When you create a link you can pick a custom slug, like trnq.io/spring-sale, instead of an auto-generated one. Slugs use lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores, are 3 to 30 characters long, and cannot start or end with a hyphen. Free and Starter links get an auto-generated slug. Read more about custom slugs.
Can I change a custom slug after creating a link?
No. A slug is permanent once the link is created, so links you have already shared keep working. Check the spelling before you save, and create a new link if you need a different slug.
Which Trnqify plan includes webhooks?
Webhooks are on Pro only, with up to 3 webhook endpoints per account. Free and Starter do not include webhooks. The webhook docs cover events, payloads, and signature checks.
Can AI agents create links with custom slugs?
Yes, if the account is on Pro. Custom slugs work in the app, through the REST API, and with the MCP create-link tool, so an agent connected over MCP can request a specific slug. Taken slugs are rejected so the agent can try another.
Does Trnqify 1.5 change how click data is handled?
No. Analytics stay aggregate, location is never finer than city level, and click data is never sold. Read the full privacy policy.
